Individual growth is unique. There are no formulas, but people have the capacity for deep change once they discover their own way. I work with my clients to help them connect with whatever is needed to become more alive. Change is about accepting who we are and living in the world with a more authentic self.
I am a licensed psychotherapist who has been in private practice for over 30 years. My training background is in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, Jungian psychotherapy, dream work and expressive art therapy.
I have written articles and given talks on the topics of Sadness, Transitions, Mercy and Forgiveness, and the Psychology of Rescue. I have traveled extensively to participate in programs on child therapy, trauma, development of the self, neuropsychology, relational wounding, and mystical experiences in New York, Boston, San Francisco, London, Zurich, and Ireland.
how I work
In the safety of a therapeutic relationship, it is possible to allow parts of oneself that have been split off or buried to find expression and to be held in a compassionate understanding. The way in which each person approaches his or her difficulties is unique, and respect for the individual process is crucial. This process of becoming more whole is the cornerstone of how I work.
Who I work with
I work with young adults and adults in individual therapy.
How To Pay
I am covered by most insurances, including Medicaid and Medicare. For those without insurance who cannot pay my full fee, we can negotiate a fee that is manageable for you.
How To Start
The first step is to call for an appointment. Appointments last an hour. We will set up a time for you to come in so you can ask any questions and see if this is the right place for you. If not, I will help you to find other therapists.
